Director

Jacob Whiting

Jacob has almost 20 years of development management experience and academic qualifications in construction management including a Masters in Building Construction from Auburn University, USA. Jacob has previously worked for the NSW State Government land agency, Hunter Development Corporation, and had responsibilities in overseeing and managing the development and disposal of various land holdings including the Honeysuckle Development on the Newcastle Foreshore.

Jacob has experience in the master planning, feasibilities, and the procurement and delivery of capital works. In addition to working for the NSW state government, Jacob has operated his own project management consultancy company, been a strategic business planning consultant to various companies and worked in the bulk logistics and coal agency industry.

Shannon Sullivan

Shannon Sullivan commenced his career as a Town Planner and has over 20 years of experience in both the Public and Private Sectors. Shannon has strong contacts within Government and other professionals in the development industry. He has developed strong communication and project management skills through this role. Shannon maintains this role as a Director of ESS Australia, assisting large corporate clients to navigate the government approval process, meet state and local authority requirements and achieve development outcomes for a range of projects.

Shannon is focused on innovation across a number of industries, creating start-up companies to capture market share, create value and disrupt current business sectors.

Director

Timothy Hill

Timothy has over 29 years’ experience in the construction industry, predominantly within commercial construction. A carpenter by trade and quantity surveyor by profession, Timothy has academic qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management and Law.

Timothy recently stepped away from a role with Costco Wholesale Australia where, as their Director of Real Estate and Construction for 11 years, he was responsible for the development program that supported Costco’s growth from one location to 13 operating warehouses, a Distribution Centre and board approved forward works in the order of AU$260 million.

Timothy developed the Costco AU Master, pioneered natural refrigerant systems for Costco and was hands-on in the ongoing design management of the Costco model for Australia, reflecting Costco’s unique operational needs in every facility.

Prior to joining Costco, Timothy was Managing Director of Northcroft Australia and operated his own Quantity Surveying firm in Newcastle for 10 years, including providing expert witness services (Quantity Surveyor) to Supreme Courts and Tribunals.
