Director

Jacob Whiting

Jacob has over 15 years of development management experience and academic qualifications in construction management including a Masters in Building Construction from Auburn University, USA. Jacob has previously worked for the NSW State Government land agency, Hunter Development Corporation, and had responsibilities in overseeing and managing the development and disposal of various land holdings including the Honeysuckle Development on the Newcastle Foreshore.

Jacob has experience in the master planning, feasibilities, and the procurement and delivery of capital works. In addition to working for the NSW state government, Jacob has operated his own project management consultancy company, been a strategic business planning consultant to various companies and worked in the bulk logistics and coal agency industry. Jacob is also co-founder and a director of Omega Energy Pty Ltd.​

Shannon Sullivan​

Shannon Sullivan commenced his career as a Town Planner and has over 20 years experience in both the Public and Private Sectors. Shannon has strong contacts within Government and other professionals in the development industry. He has developed strong communication and project management skills through this role. Shannon maintains this role as a Director of ESS Australia, assisting large corporate clients to navigate the government approval process, meet state and local authority requirements and achieve development outcomes for a range of projects.

Since 2014 Shannon has been a Director and Business Development Manager for Omega Energy. Omega Energy is an innovator in the waste industry, utilising new technology to treat and process waste. As a Company Director of Omega Energy, Shannon provides executive leadership, operational management and direction towards achieving the company’s vision, strategic plan and objectives. In addition, through the role of Business Development Manager, Shannon was responsible for day to day activities such as identifying opportunities to develop waste to energy facilities across Australia, negotiating waste contracts, project investment and financing, meeting with regulatory agencies and general business activities.

Shannon is focused on innovation across a number of industries, creating start-up companies to capture market share, create value and disrupt current business sectors.
